Restoran Taiwan Noodle House – Taiwanese Pork Chop Noodles – SS2
February 4, 2008 – 9:29 pm - 2,782 viewsThis is still one of my favourite places to eat for a simple but delicious meal for a reasonable price. I got addicted to these Taiwan Pork Chop Noodles during my ’stay’ at Horus cybercafe in SS2 – I used to eat there regularly and still make effort to go there when I can.
It’s located on the same row as Horus naturally.

It’s a simple store and the prices are reasonable, the menu isn’t vast but I only go there for one thing mainly the pork chop noodles (dry of course!). The curry chicken rice was very good too last time I had it.

And this is the business! Order it dry of course, and usually for two persons you can order an extra pork chop on the side as it’s so delicious. Crispy and tender and flavoured well, served on the bone and sliced into bite sized pieces (RM7).

The noodles are a thin fairly flat variety and silky smooth, served with some dark sauce and topped with minced meat and some spring onions.

Stir well and add a little soup to taste.
The chili they serve with it is really good, it’s not particularly spicy – I think it’s somehow fermeted..but it’s extremely tasty and goes perfectly with both the pork chop and the dumplings.

I also recommend their dumplings or “sui gau” – well packed with meat and very tasty (RM4).

They serve a good variety of fresh fruit juices (including jumbo size!) too along with the normal drinks.
If you eat around SS2 regularly and haven’t tried this place I definitely recommend checking it out!
We give it a very consistent and delicious We Ate This 8/10.

I used to eat the dry mince meat noodles and chicken curry rice at this place, when I was working at SS2. Very delicious.

the food is not bad but perhaps it is a one time only affair; i had horrible service from them once. there were no one in the shop and it took them 45 mins to prepare my food.

James: Yeah excellent food there. It’s worth making an effort to go back.
kevin: I’ve never had that experience, must have been a bad day.
