Restoran Busy Corner - Claypot Chicken, Prawn and Beef Rice - Damansara Jaya

December 2, 2007 – 7:18 pm - 1,574 views

I have to admit this is one of my favourite places to eat, if I crave something really hearty, tasty and not too expensive I usually head to Busy Corner for some of their famous Claypot Prawn Rice!

The prawn rice is just heavenly! Anyway more on that later.

It’s pretty easy to get to, map and address at the bottom - conveniently located just off the LDP (KDU turn).

When you arrive you’re greeted with towels, plates and cut chili. Place your order, I recommend 1 soup per person, and 1 large bowl per 2 persons. Or 2 small - depends if you want variety. I tend to prefer to eat a large prawn for two though as the black pepper beef can be a bit overpowering and is better left on it’s own.

They also have vege, poli sang choi goes well with the rice. There is a few types of soup - vegetable (sai yong choi), peanut (slightly sweet - fah sang) and ABC soup. I’m a fan of the vegetable variety. Soups are RM3.50 for small and RM4.50 for large.

Vegetable Soup - Sai Yong Choi

The main courses! Black Pepper Claypot Beef Rice (RM5.50 or RM10)

Make sure after the rice comes you stir it well to get all the flavours mixed around.

Stir Well!

The favourite of many people! The famous Claypot Prawn Rice! (RM12 or RM20)

I recommend poli sang choi - it goes really well with the rice.

Then enjoy! With some sliced chili.

Succulent big fresh prawn with perfectly cooked hot rice, remember to eat the crispy layer at the bottom.

For once the restaurant lives up to it’s name and is busy, so expect it be fairly packed around dinner time.

I rate busy corner highly, so we’d give it a We Ate This 9/10!

Jason: Let me know what you think of it.

John K: Yeah I have thought of that, I’ll note down the co-ords when I remember and when the thing with lock..

  10. I reckon you guys should stick like a halal or non-halal picture on top of every post. Would be good for the Muslims.

Save them the trouble of drooling over food they can’t eat anyway. Heheh.
