The Eagle’s Nest Steakhouse - Damansara Perdana
November 28, 2007 – 7:59 pm - 1,730 viewsNow personally I love a good steak, I have some trouble finding decent steak in KL although there are plenty of options - some are extremely expensive and some are just plain inconsistent.
One place I can rely on (and it helps that it’s fairly nearby) is The Eagle’s Nest Steakhouse in Damansara Perdana, just off the LDP. Same row as Mum’s Place but on the corner (if you know where that is).
The Eagle’s Nest has a fairly limited menu but it does what it does fairly well, stick to steak and soup and you’ll be fine. The restaurant actually began in 1995 in Langkawi and opened in Damansara Perdana much more recently.

The decor of the place is fairly simple and surprisingly it’s always pretty much empty!

Of course with steak we must have beer! (RM9.50).

And I really love their Pumpkin Cream soup (RM10.90) - topped up with a bit of seafood.

The Shrimps Francaise is really rather good too (RM18.90) - but a little costly.

For the main course we ordered the Lamb Rack (RM35.90).

The speciality is steaks, so a Tenderloin Natur (RM43.90) - comes with a piece of garlic bread and a little salad, excellent! I’ve had the butter sauce too salty before, and too plain - so it’s a bit hit and miss on that. The steak itself has always been great however.

Medium of course…

And some Fried Oyster Mushrooms (RM.8.50) - small portion.

There’s pretty much zero in way of desserts, so forget about that.
But if you want steak in simple surroundings, no queue and no hassle - this is a good choice.
In total the bill came to RM151.36 - worth it if you ask me.
Overall we’d give We Ate This 7/10.

Pictures look great! Good job. I think you should describe more about how the food’s taste, texture etc.

Hey, congrats on the new site! Looking forward to more salivating pictures…
I’ve always passed by that place, since my wife goes to the Cats Whiskers boutique opposite. But never stepped in.
I will definitely give it a go now. Looks great.

The steak looks a little on the small side from the photo. Roughly how big and how thick was it?

Dude, suggest adding a map or something?
Some n00bs don’t have map books in their heads, or at home.

v0ices: Jom let’s eat steak!
js: A Nikon D200.
lotsofcravings: Yeah very quiet place, nice to hang out. And yeah hoping to raise the bar on food photography
Liz: Thanks! Will try and work on being more descriptive.
Ben Israel: Nice to see you here Ben, yeah do try it out if you frequent that area it’s convenient too.
twosuperheroes: Do drop back and let us know what you think.
Danny Foo: It’s not huge, but it is a tenderloin, I’d say from all the places I’ve eaten tenderloin it’s about average size.
Dr. Tan: I did actually intend to, but I forgot! I’ve added in a map and the link to Wikimapia.
